Pool Circuits

Hopefully a quick question, currently on the 2005 NEC. I was always under the impression that the pool pump motor had to be on its own circuit. I can not find anything in the code to validate.

There aren't any rules that say you have to have a pool pump on a dedicated circuit. There are rules for circuit loading and motors that lend to a pump being on it's own circuit.

Agree, Can you give details (circuit size, motor size, etc) (Thinking of 210.23)
