Pool light conduits leaking

My job has a swimming pool on an upper floor above a 3million dollar condo on the floor below. They filled the pool and the conduits feeding the wet niche fixtures in the pool are leaking. The pool guy told the gc that I need to fix my pipes. I say that my electrical conduits should not be fill with water. What do you think?
 
Is the "cork" that comes with the pool light missing? If it is missing water could surge back from the pool light into the brass box then go backwards down your pipe.

i didnt notice any cork. I beleive yhe light should be better sealed to the pool wall.
 
The cork thing is a feature of the American Products/Pentair PVC niche line. And frankly they aren't worth putting in anyway (IMO). The Hayward niches don't have a cord seal (yet).

The old standby when water leaks out of a light conduit is to fill the conduit entry on the niche end with caulking. Usually the plaster company does that when there is a suspected leak since they the first suspected of causing a leak.

If you can located the leak in an area where you can dig and get to it, it's best to fix it. Otherwise, your easiest fix is sealing the conduit.

Assuming this is a "wet-niche" there isn't a seal between the light fixture and the niche. The niche floods with water as does the conduit containing the cord.

Who ran the pipe from the fixture to the deck box? Your pipe leaking water your responsibility sorry if you didnt use primer your insurance.

I assume the pool has no water right now? Due to this.....

What kind of construction is the pool and your conduit? How does this guy know your conduit is leaking and not something else?

Do the conduits exit above or below the full water line of the pool? If below - you don't have any really good options. If they are above the water line you might be able to swab the whole (dry) interior with a sealant for the purpose eg pool water.
