Pool Light Retrofit

Hello, I'm considering the light in the link below for my swimming pool. Trouble is, the cord for the thing is only 5' long or so, and in my case the junction boxes are 30' away. 1.) Can the cable be legally spliced? Wet niche housing. 2.) If just changing out the entire cable is a better option, what cable marking should be looked for? SJOOW? ST? A friend has this same light (closer junction box though). The cable is 2-wire (entire body of the thing is plastic, so nothing to ground) with the markings "VDE" and "H07RN-F". Thanks!
