I have a new pool pump, 220 volt. When I hook up the bonding wire the pool pump trips the breaker. The other equipment (light and heater) on the grid are not affected. What could cause this?

It is obvious you have some current flowing on the grounding / bonding conductors and that is downright scary around a pool. I can not say this strongly enough, hire a qualified person to look into this and fix it right and to code.

That said I am closing this thread, in accordance with the Forum Rules.
