Can 277 volt lighting poles be located 10' from a public in ground pool?

Can a GFCI be mounted to a pool lighting transformer, and the transformer be used as a junction box for this separate circuit?

I'm not a pool expert, but a look through Art. 680 leads me to say yes.

Probably not.

a pool light is an entirely separate thing that i don't believe can be used for
any other purpose.

i'm understanding that you want to pull in a separate circuit into a transformer,
hang a bell box off the side of the transformer, and run wiring thru the transformer?

I have been tasked with repairing the corroded conduits at this pool location. I found this set up. I believe this is a safety hazard and plan to remove this circuit. They also landed the line and loads on the wrong side of the transformer, bent the divider and crossed the lines between sides, mixing the unprotected 120 volts with the low voltage of the transformer.
