76nemo gets the spit shine award for his benders. They look brand new.

There is a fine trick to that. No-one, absolutely no-one uses my test equipment. If, and only if, you use my tooling, you borrow them as you would my better half:D That's lightly, and you'll be lucky if I allow it. It's called obsessive-compulsive. I take care of my equipment like you would watch over your children. I clean my tools after every job. I am not full of money, therefore I shelter my tooling. If you saw my test equipment, you would sware they were never used. God bless Goo-Gone:D

Again, obsessive-compulsive:roll: I know I am not thee only one!!!!

Darn, you beat me to it!
I know a picture I'm going to take tomorrow. Benders that were left out in the rain for days, benders "borrowed" and used to bend rebar, benders with handles bent by who know's what, etc. How does a guy manage to bend the handle on a 1-1/4" EMT bender, anyhow?

You forget, you guys/gals install, my gig is to come in and repair it when it calls for it. You guys/gals do construction, I do maintenance. You batter your tools while mine collects dust:grin:

I am a small guy at 155 lbs.. I can't do much with 1.25" pipe unless it's by foot.

Hickies are great when you are installing pipe in an existing structure, as you can finess it a little more to make it fit such as around a footing or such.

Let's restart this. How many of you still utilize a hickey from time to time?

Time to time we do use them-especially to straighten out underground, they still have there place in the industry...
