I am installing a simplified power monitor system based on the EATON IQ-35MA.

The circuit being monitored will be a Line-Line (2 Wire, no GND) 240Vac 60Hz Single Phase system.

To prove out the monitoring device I will use an assortment Meters Fluke Multimeters for Voltage, Clamp On for Current, and a Multimeter to verify freq is constant at 60Hz.

With that noted: What are the base formulas I should be using to verify my field readings?
in example: Power = Volts X Amps X power factor

Thanks
Scott

I doubt if you can calculate real power consumed with the list of meters that you listed. How do you measure yor power factor there?

In my other life, we just compare readings a new power monitor with a verified standard, no lengthy calculations.
