Power Factor varies from 75 to 250

To clarify,

The number in the OP is most certainly Kvarh.

They can also call the utilty customer service and ask. They are supposed to be able to explain each line on the bill.

The demand is in KW and is not KVA. It wouldn't bill properly. At least that is what I have been told. Utilities don't bill KVA because it is hard to do so precisely and consistently with they existing methods. I.E. 15 min interval data maximum demand is easy. It is hard to do the calculation constantly in the meter.

So, utilities will bill customers based on the the total kVarh consumed by them since it typically leads to a cost for them (KVARH generated). Like solar's VAR support.

It can be used as a power quality metric but to be honest, I find that a lot of the time, it is cheaper to pay the utilities' KVARH charges then to put in power factor correction.
