Was asked if interested in doing a pre-fab/modular house have to admit never did any so my question,Is there anything that i should be concerned about someone was telling me just plug them in thought this sounded to easy can that be true I appreciate any do and don'ts about this type of wiring.Thanks

If it's new, look out for the inspector. They don't like new. Get with the manufacturer and see if you can get in writing, what is expected. If it's in writting, the inspector will be a lot more malleable.

I worked on a prefab just a month or so ago. Yes, a lot of the job is simply plugging the circuits together from the various sections. Even the service panel is made up and ready to go.

But there is a lot of "normal" work involved like installing the service conductors and meter socket, basement lights, AC units, boiler, air handler, etc...basically everything you would find in the basement. Light fixtures also need to be installed, but usually everything else is done allready. Even the plates are installed.

I recently did one for a friend of my sons, set meter combo ran to inside panel, set ground rod, plugged in 4 crossover connections. 3hrs. $800.00
However I did get very lucky a/c people that contract with the co. that the house came from has their own electrician and did not want any one else running power and hooking up their equipment. They set lights at air handler and all.
but you must have a clear understanding of who is responsible for what.As far as light fixt. and recp. they should all ready be installed or the seller of the home is responsible for having them installed.watch out for the crossover plugs some are hard to find.

T&M. Any other method would produce some weird numbers, I would think. You didn't do the plugs, and the footage isn't really relevant to what you're doing right?

I have wired a "normal" sized pre-fab and helped out on another "giant" pre-fab.
The normal one had two boxes for the house with a small box for the entrance.
The giant house was delivered as 6 seperate boxes, all huge.
In the normal size house:
We added a finished apartment in the basement so all that wiring was new. We also had to do the service equip install. Wiring in the garage (which was underneath the main house.)We also added lights in the attic.
The huge house:
Had 6 seperate drops of romex; one group of cables dangling from the bottom of each box.
Had numerous romex cables terminated with connectors in the upper portions of the boxes at the mating walls.
Both jobs were very different and both were a hell of a lot of work.
The smaller house had wiring problems in the pre-fab portions (two different circuits were back-feeding each other.)
T&M would be the only way I would do another one.
