I can't be sure of anything anymore. Leave a roll of 10/3 NM laying out over the weekend and it stays; leave a 12V Hitachi battery charger on the temp overnight and it grows legs. :roll:

Well, this past weekend my friend had his boiler replaced, and along with that we cleaned out his basement and left a pile of other scrap metal along with the boiler out at the curb. It was all junk white metal and steel. It was gone within one working day.

Sometimes I leave stuff at the curb, if nobody takes it, then I put a for sale sign, someone will then steal it, go figure. :-?

I've found leaving stuff at the curb is the quickest and easiest way get rid of things. It's never there for more than a few days.

i would think the price would be up since theres less stuff you can make out of horses these days

I have a bad feeling this may get removed from here, but here it goes. Over the last five years, there has been a very bad potential for uprising dr*g use in this town, and the theft has gone WAY up!!!!!!! Last one we had three weeks ago is where some, what can I properly call them here????? They stole the GEC out of a very large stone quarry. They were charged with theft and reckless endangerment to another human being. Theft of copper may be the smallest problem here considering what most are trying to steal it for in support of

We just had a project where they hot wired a scissor lift and used it pull out about 200' of 500kcmil copper. Could be an inside job, not sure.
The theives are still active.
Guess they needed some christmas $$I'd like to hook new conductors to an electric fence unit sometime for security until it's terminated & hot.

Have put all kind of trash at curb, and most gone in few days if not hours. Wife says nobody will take that LOL. Cleaning up yard produced lot of scrap metal. Craigs list had it gone in less than 2 hours. As to theft with price going down just simply means they steal more.
