From the Southwire site:
"What type of professionals will be able to install the FlatWire products?
While any type of person, either professional or do-it-yourselfer, will be able to complete a successful installation, it will provide incremental business opportunities to professionals such as electricians, painters, wallpaper hangers and contractors, who will be able to offer FlatWire installation easily and inexpensively at the time of service."

Looked at the site the other day, kind of neat, kind of scary, don't know if I like it yet . . .

Taken from the Flatwire website:

"Dilemma. Sconce lighting is one of the most desired categories of lighting made, yet it has always been too expensive to do as part of a re-decoration. The install alone for two fixtures can easily exceed $1,000."

My new craigslist special promotion to install 2 sconces on the wall:

2 EASY* SCONCE LIGHTS $999.00 THIS WEEK ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!

*wall must be free from all obstructions including furniture, paint, spackle, drywall, insulation, plumbing and/or heating pipes, ductwork, ans insulation. Customer must supply light fixtures and they can not be heavy. Customer must help and ask questions using a minimum of 2 improper terms per statement made while assisting me. BONUS: Act in the next 24 hours and I will let you twist the orange wirenuts that came with the fixture on all by yourself!!!!!

looks pretty well thoughtout to me.

I like the idea, even if I am a little nervous about it being surface mounted, just becasue someone might decide it would be a good idea to put a picture up there and tap a nail trhough it, but the GFCI and OCPD required in the source outlet should take care of that.

My guess is even though concealed it will be fairly obvious it is there.
