I thought this site was for professional and students of the electrical persuasion as well as anyone somewhat versed in electrical installations or engineering.
i see a lot more “how do I do this” aka do it your selfers ...or. “ I had an electrician tell me Ba. ba..is he right?

I owe most of what I know to participation on this forum, lesser members gain in the exchange of knowledge. Remember that it is not a black and white issue, licensing laws and experience vary widely.

I’ll just add that when we review and discuss posts that have been flagged, there are a number of criteria we use to decide to remove or allow them and it’s a collaborative process. Sometimes we decide to leave a posting up even if the poster doesn’t necessarily fit the required profile, if the question fits other criteria and / or can be of educational value. That however does not mean the same poster can go on posting and getting into banned subjects like DIY. We watch out for that.
