A unit heater is a stand alone heater with a small fan. The only rating given is the kw.

and the fan load is almost negligible on such units.
With 35 kW like the OP has the fan is still somewhat negligible but seems is usually just enough to make minimum size conductor jump a size then if the fan were not on the same supply as the heat.:blink:
35 kw @ 208 volts is 97 amps x 1.25 = 121 amp conductor needed. Can be on a 125 amp breaker. Now put a 5 amp blower motor on there and you will need to bump to a 150 amp overcurrent device, but this time can still use the same 1 AWG copper supply conductor.
