I also use the greenlee 1810 for 1/2” Box offsets. Fast and no guessing. However it makes a 9/16” offset not a 1”. If I need to make a number of a different offset, I use an Evans offset bender.

Sounds like it might be according to 340.116. How about you run rr from the panel through the basement to the lamp post, violation?

That is just a basic construction spec.

340.10(4) takes you to Parts II and III of 334.

334.10(3)
Other structures permitted to be of Types III, IV, and V
construction. Cables shall be concealed within walls, floors, or ceilings that provide a thermal barrier of ma- terial that has at least a 15-minute finish rating as iden- tified in listings of fire-rated assemblies.

Post light scenario is fine if basement is in dwelling unit.

Thanks. I will follow that through.

Well, that's actually what the customer asked for, so perhaps it's for the best. I just loath EMT...

What sort of metal box is damp rated, or should I just use Bell boxes? (I'm assuming that a PVC box has the same bonding requirement as when using the MC cable...)

thanks.

I thought that you are an engineer. How is it that you are doing electrical work?
