I am reviewing a shopping drawing that show 6 low voltage control wires exposed without any protection even go through concrete slab openings. Article 725 doesn't really say anything about protection. But I don't feel comfortable leaving it exposed. Any thought is welcome. Thanks.

There?s 5 pages back to back on article 725. What exactly your low voltage control wires are used for was not mentioned, nor class of structure. I think care should taken on your part before approval due to the fact that your dealing with Class 1, 2 and 3 structures.
725.1 in FPN notes, gives Low voltage workers to much of a free hand, from chapters 1-4, and I personally hate it.
725.3 is the first mention of Requiring article 300, ?only those sections of article 300
referenced in this article shall apply to class 1, class 2, class 3.?
725.8 might be part of your answer to your original question. Points to 300.4 (D)

?supply side of the power source shall be installed in accordance with the appropriate requirements of Chapters 1 through 4.

725.58 support of Conductors. Class 2 or class 3 circuit conductors shall not be strapped, tapped or attached by any means to the exterior of any conduit or other raceways as a means of support. This conductors shall be permitted to be installed as permitted by 300.11(B)(2), which is not the answer.
300.21 was what I was looking for, and it was never called out, in 725.
Is that the Part I (not #1) 300 through 300.50 (E). Frankly I don?t know, guess I?ll have to ask the my old teacher. But because of 725.1 FPN, their licensed to make a mess IMO.
It was not till class 2 and class 3 PTLC (CI) via 725.82(J) that they mention a Riser signaling Raceways.
Yes stub a pipe, strap it, and Fire chalk it, I don't beleive insulation foam is not Fire rated ?
