Looks like folks trying to make the best of a bad situation. Wouldn't be my choice for a spot to relax. I would have had to keep one eye on the wall.
 
They're probably all in there thinking...... "I'd have them over to my place, but I don't want a bunch of drunks hanging around and trashing the house." :grin:

From the looks of things the water level is a couple feet above the sill on that door. So you've got a couple hundred pounds of force pushing in against the door, and 15? sandbags holding it closed? Don't think a pair of 1/3 HP submersibles is going to keep up with that deluge.

My take: Come on, it's a bar. You're telling me that when the water started rising that every man over the age of 14 didn't form a line to stack sandbags AROUND the building? It's not rocket science. The walls are probably toast as it is.
