Multi family pool equipment. During a call to verify pool equipment is working. Its discoovered that the pool pumps are not bonded. The receptacles for motors arent gfci. The cords used at motors have no grounds. The pool pump room sits next door to boiler room. Would the pool pump motors need to be bonded with the circulation pumps inside boiler room? Would I also bond the pool pump motors to copper water pipe onsite? The ground rod has deteriorated from chlorine water from pool water system leaking. I wish i could post a picture. Ive never seen this before. The complex is old. Im sure multiple contractors and maintenance have been involved doing repairs. I told management to close pool until we or other electrical contractor doesn't these repairs as a suggestion.

Good move on suggesting shutting down until corrected. Recipe for disaster.

If it's an old complex it certainly is not up to code. You or someone else must determine if the pool shell and any components such as ladder or rail sockets or light niches (if any) are bonded. Anything metallic within 5' of the water. Would include a metallic fill spout if present.

I have seen some pump rooms exposed to chemicals that have rotted most everything in sight. The chemicals and any chemical crocks must be in a separate location or room with ventilation.
You do not need to include circulating pumps in your bond grid. No need to bond water pipe. The pool grid is separate.

To CYA, write a letter to the facility noting all the issues. I'm sure over the years "repairs" have been cobbled. Especially by the maintenance crew.

The pumps do need bonding!

(6) Electrical Equipment. Metal parts of electrical equipment
associated with the pool water circulating system, including
pump motors and metal parts of equipment associated with
pool covers, including electric motors, shall be bonded.

I'm pretty sure OP was speaking of circulating pumps on the boiler which do not need to be bonded. If the boiler is part of the pool heating system, then yes, it must be bonded.
Yes, pool circulating pumps must be bonded.
