I've heard that PVC conduit cannot be used inside of houses from 2 different people. I haven't been able to find anything that doesn't allow it in the NEC though. I find a section about not being used in theaters and gathering places or something like that. I've definatly seen it ran in many houses. Your knowledge and input would be appreciated. thanks

we just recently ran about 600 ft. In , over , and through a house last month. The inspectors both had no problems with it, cost a lot less then steel.

It could be that someone mistakenly believes the default 50C limit on ambient temperature applies to all PVC. Check out 362.12, then look on the pipe and see what temperature it's rated for.

Carlon (and others) make 90C PVC.

Check your local codes. I have worked in some jurisdictions that did not allow PVC inside buildings. It's not an NEC rule, though.
