You can order your pipe with or without the bell end. Bending is very common. Slight bends can even be done cold in a trench.

I don't bend PVC elbows. It is too time consuming.

If you only have to install 1 or 2 elbows then glue it. If you have a lot of bends the blanket or box heater works best.

You can get elbows with or without bell ends as well. Some suppliers only stock one or the other, some stock both.
