Cheapest and most efficient.

Only use on high setting.

Forget the pretty green ones that start at $500 such a scam!!!

We purchased the Hot Bend PVC bender about 6 years ago. It uses a bbq tank to operate.

Been through the blankets and hot boxes. Blankets become worn out and we often get zapped from exposed coils. Boxes too expensive. You need electrical power to operate both of these and they take time to warm especially in the dead of winter.

The Hot Bend needs no power. It's portable and you even can bend pipe in a trench. We have multiple times.

We've use it to bend up 6" PVC, both water pipe and conduit.

It's actual original use is for shrink wrapping boats for winter. Someone figured out it can heat and bend PVC. We very rarely need fittings (90's) as we can bend our sweeps.
One of the best investments. Highly recommend it.

The web site doesn't tell much.

Does the Hot Bend use propane and/or compressed air? They are quite proud of the fact no electricity is needed, but don't say exactly what is needed. The fitting on the bottom of the unit looks like it's for compressed air.

We have a number of the hot bends, all they need is a tank of fuel. They are very handy for site work with smaller conduits when power is scarce.

It's a propane tank. Cannot explain the air compressor fitting you speak of.

The gun as a Piezo lighter like some BBQ's to ignite. A regulator comes with the kit to allow proper pressure delivery to the gun. The hose is quick connect type to the gun. I believe 10' or 12' long.
I purchased 2 wrenches to fit specifically on the regulator when attaching one end of the hose and the tank connection. An adjustable wrench is a PIA going between sizes. Both wrenches were metric.

The whole system is very portable. Great on sites where electric power is an issue. We have used it extensively without any issues for 6 years.
