I am trying to quote out 12/3 Jacketed MC and the associated connectors, but neither my reps nor I know. My customer is encasing them in concrete and wants non-metal straights and 90s. I would like to know whether they need 1/2" or 3/4" connectors and what the product code would be for the non-metal variant. I cannot find any sort of non-metal connector meant for jacketed MC, but I doubt using standard car flex connectors would be code, or would even fit. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Why does the connector need to be nonmetallic? We always use metal connectors on PVC jacketed MC cable.

Same here. These were the type we used (not necessarily the manufacturer though)

Ok, thank you, I was starting to think I was crazy. Does anyone have firsthand experience with the sizing of jacketed MC? The cut sheet I had suggested that 12-3 MC with the jacket may be too big for 1/2in connectors, but I almost find that hard to believe. would 1/2" be a squeeze or is it a safe bet?

I was only involved with larger size MC and AC jacketed (250-500 KCMIL) so I can't answer but in my experience manufacturers are very accommodating if you contact them.

You're not looking for a squeeze connector you'll need a connector listed for the size of the MC and listed for concrete encasement. Last time I looked they were about $15 each.

We use PVC coated MC cable and the Arlington fittings specifically made for the PVC coated MC cable. Dont know the arlington number off the top of my head but I am sure it wouldn't be hard to goggle. They are expensive!

We use the Arlington connectors as well. Has a compression style nut on the outside.
