PVC pipes for Duct Banks

What are the minimum thickness/ class of PVC pipe approved for Ductbanks or for XLPE/PVC cables as per NEC?

Those cables are probably direct burial rated anyhow, so my answer is: Just thick enough to hold the concrete until it cures.

And thick enough not to crack while the concrete guys walk all over it installing their rebar cage and during the pour. That's the reason we've gone to schedule 80 recently.

Just a matter of reference, we use schedule 80 for that reason as well.

Don't know of any code requirement as to a thickness.

There's some thinwall stuff rated for concrete encasement only. We used some EB-20 a while back. Feels cheap. Don't hot box it or it collapses. Disclaimer: I'd make sure your contract allows it's use and check with your local inspector to be safe.

My handbook lists Type EB with a UL standard of 651 as being recognized by article 352.
