I’ve seen a few pvc repair kits advertised. Our supply houses usually have none in stock. Starting to se s few customers demanding approved methods for repairs. What are any of you finding & using? Anything otc or having to order it?

We've used Krayloy, Carlon and some others. No one stocks them in the area although they did for a while. I must not have bought enough of them. Stagger the butt splices when you use them or buy oversized kits and reduce back to the original conduit size.

If I couldn't remove wire and replace with a section of pipe, I have always used next larger & split in half. Lots of glue & a few band clamps to hold it.

Most times when I see broken PVC either the wires damaged or it's right at a junction box anyway so pulling the wire out cutting the broken PVC out and regluing in new PVC is what I normally do. If I had to repair it I would do as the above poster does.

If it is above ground, you can always cut out the broken PVC right there and add in another junction box

I don’t know if you can get it over there, Raychem made a repair bandage. Basically a sheet of heat shrink plastic with an adhesive strip along two edges.

I’ve used it for repairing cable sheaths and plastic piping but that was 25 years ago.
