Hey, I just realized something!

With the cost of our materials rising so much, we are also victims of the hurricane! So, we should be getting hurricane-relief rebates from the afore-mentioned extra profits!

I hate to rain on the parade since I am just as much a skeptic as some of you are.

But think about how stupid your conspiracy theories are. Do you really think the conduit and wire industry is going to intentionally cripple itself so it jack up the cost of plastic conduit and wire? They can't even make the stuff, let alone sell it right now!

Furthermore, building supplies are one of the key components to the economy. Any major rise in building material prices can do significant damage to the economy, and slow the pace of construction. If the manufacturers really are "gouging" as you claim, they are only going to screw themselves in the end because any downturn in the economy will reduce the demand for the very product they sell.

I think that the idea that there is no conspiring without a "conspiracy" run by the illuminati or some such is an assumtion that is deceptive. People conspire, act in concert, go along with, act the same, believe the same, have the same goals, are always ready for the same opportunity, and are more willing to go along with gaming the system than we probably believe. Claiming that no "conspiracy" of evil and massive proportion exists, and the lack of the proof of the same, does not mean that forms of it do not exist, and there is proof of unbelievable coincidences and astounding odds-against simultaneous events.

Katrina, Physis 2, PVC prices, Barry Bonds return, and several other mysterious and unexpected events are connected in time, but only the disappearance of Physis is enough of an anomaly to link it to the PVC pricing. As far as I know, he was the only one who could talk to PVC.

We are indeed all victims of huricanes.Just go to the gas pumps.Yesterday while at city electric i was told they had no pvc and was back order .15 minutes later at big orange i seen shelf was full and price had jumped about 20%.Shortage is because they are just not selling it.20 years ago we had a drywall shortage but yet the supply houses were packed to ceiling with it.They claimed it was all already sold.This is how they drive up price.
