Is it permissible to run pvc threw a driveway tube to get from one light to another on the other side?
What is a driveway tube?:-?
I'm talking about a tube about 2 feet in dia. that is used to carry water run off when it rains.
yep, that's what i'm talking about...Do you mean the large diameter metal corrugated drain tubes that you put in for water drainage?
From an NEC stand point, again as long as the depth requirements of 300.5 are met I don't see a problem with running a PVC conduit through a 2' diameter pipe for drainage.
P.S. welcome to the forum.
Chris
Good point.

Another problem is burial depth at both ends. You'll need to maintain that depth until there is suffecient grade above to 'legally cover' the PVC. This means you can't just bring the PVC into the ends of the drainage tube. (We call 'em culverts). Otherwise, they're basically exposed as it enters & exits the culvert. You'll need to punch two holes, one at each end, to maintain depth.
I agree, thats why I mentioned meeting the depth requirements of 300.5.

All I really wanted was a "No prob, go for it! " this project just got a little harder...![]()
Ok, Go for it no problem, as long as the depth requirments of 300.5 are met and the securing and supporting requirements of 352.30 are met.
Chris
Yep, go for it. But I'll add..
Additionally, if the run lays on the bottom of the "tube" for the entire length, it is supported
