PVC under driveway

Assuming the depth requirements of 300.5 are met you would be fine to run PVC conduit through a sleeve under a driveway.

From an NEC stand point, again as long as the depth requirements of 300.5 are met I don't see a problem with running a PVC conduit through a 2' diameter pipe for drainage.

Securing it per 352.30 might be a problem.

Another problem is burial depth at both ends. You'll need to maintain that depth until there is suffecient grade above to 'legally cover' the PVC. This means you can't just bring the PVC into the ends of the drainage tube. (We call 'em culverts). Otherwise, they're basically exposed as it enters & exits the culvert. You'll need to punch two holes, one at each end, to maintain depth.

I agree, thats why I mentioned meeting the depth requirements of 300.5.

Ok, Go for it no problem, as long as the depth requirments of 300.5 are met and the securing and supporting requirements of 352.30 are met.;):D

It depends on what's on either end? You might be able to use rigid or something rated for being exposed in whatever type of area you are in then go down into the ground. I'd call your inspector to before wasting a lot of time and having him shoot you down.

Yep, go for it. But I'll add...

Use Schedule 80. Its identified for use in areas where exposed to physical damage, as in where the run will enter and exit the "tube".

Additionally, if the run lays on the bottom of the "tube" for the entire length, it is supported :grin:

I'm fairly certain that the NEC doesn't require "support" of the PVC conduit but more likely requires it to be "securely fastened into place". I could be wrong.....it's happened before.
