So HD sells a qo for 288 dollars, while Lowes sells the entire spa package with a dp 50 GFCI for $110.

my local lowe's sells that same package for $60; i bought one 3 wks ago. They're well over a hundred at the supply house. I had to buy a HOM220GFCI awhile back and it was $95.00 at the supply house.

That's usually what I do. Buy the spa disconnect and rob the breaker out of it. Cheaper that way. Same with main breakers. Buy a HOM panel, rob the main out of it, then chuck the rest on the scrap metal pile.

I get QO2200VH mains for $64; the lowest I can get a HOM 200A MCB panel is $90 something. I've been meaning to get the price on a main-lug conversion kit for the HOM panels though. I thought about buying the HOM panels w/ a main and putting it in the disconnect, then converting to lugs in the panel. MLO HOM panels are only about $20 less than the MCB. Anyone know what that lug kit costs?

Odd but true, the companies I have worked for have bought several sections of bus duct only to throw it away, we needed the bus duct switches and we could get them cheaper as a package with the bus duct.

Same for a large number of 3 pole breakers, we bought panels loaded with breakers only to pull the breakers out and keep the panels for parts and temporary use.

we buy stock motor control sections and throw away the stuff we don't want because it is MUCH cheaper to buy them and make the necessary modifications that way than to buy what we actually want. And we can get it a lot faster.

That's generally the same question that I asked last week.

What does "re-furbrished" mean?

steve

Follow the link and call the company and ask them to be sure what it means to them. It could mean different things to different people.

That's the only way to fly when buying any amount of I-Line breakers.

It means they dump out all of the old furbish, and replace it with re-furbished furbish.

Now, where they get the re-furbished furbish, I have no idea.
