So, I have a question about the 6 service disconnect rule. I recently saw an installation where we have a 200 amp, 120/240, single phase, 3 wire service. Utility hits the meter, then from the meter it goes into a small wire way and that wire way feeds (4) disconnects. (2) disconnects are feeding panels and (2) disconnects are feeding RTUs.
I'm assuming this satisfies the "6 service disconnect rule" since the (4) disconnects are grouped together, but I just wanted to confirm my understanding. Every example sketch/drawing I've seen that references this rule shows a service hitting a wireway and then an enclosure that has (6) meters and a disconnect after each meter.
Thanks in advance for any help!
