Going back to the original subject...

I've had inspectors insist that the method in the first picture is the only way you're allowed to do it. I've had others say that I can do it this way or put a connector on it, but I have to bond the connector with a bushing or bonding locknut. Talking about the latter being an unnecessary headache. I mean, if you're not going to put the wire in conduit then it is what it is.

How are you grounding the chase nipple?

How about a box adapter and s coupling?

Our supply house does not call them box connectors. If they are PVC, they are 'transition adapters' or 'TA's.

The push in bushings work great.

They are called terminal adapters or male adapters(MA's) over here.

I avoid the box adapters if I can because they aren't reusable. I end up cutting them out when I need to replace the disconnect, j-box, etc that it's going into. That's a pain.
