I am afraid you misunderstood. I reproduce the sentences from the paper you stated below.

...........For example, 100% of the third harmonic current would pass through the transformer if theywere equal in magnitude and displaced 120o from each other. This flow of current would be just like a balanced three-phase 60 Hertz current.......

Have you measured any third harmonic voltages/currents ​with characteristics as mentioned above?

What current? The transformer was unloaded.

then what you saw (the triplen harmonics) came from the magnetizing current of the lightly loaded transformer.

saw plenty of that as well here.
