Re: Question regarding multiple occupancy buildings...

OK your right the code does not reference this (or atleast I havent found it yet)type of situation directly. Out of safety reasons I don't think any one would argue over markings of some sort.

Re: Question regarding multiple occupancy buildings...

I agree with Bob. This is an unusual circumstance, I personally would ask the building department what they think of this situation. I would also get something in writing to protect myself as a contractor in case of a relationship going bad ... "but you told me the xray machine used very little power, my utility bill is so high now"...

Re: Question regarding multiple occupancy buildings...

Russ just a wild guess from me that there is no requirement for marking this installation because it is just so unusual.

I agree it would be a good idea to mark it. :)

Re: Question regarding multiple occupancy buildings...

Why are we even answering this question? If this person is qualified to do the work he or she would already know the answer. Go hire an electrical contractor so this person can can evaluate the problem first hand. Any advice to question could temp this person to try something unsafe putting himself and the "poor" doctor at risk and every other business in this strip mall.

Re: Question regarding multiple occupancy buildings...

I haven't encountered this befor proffesionally. (Not that I'm any measure).

You could say the same for any question asked here. So why are we here at all? :(

I wish I had all the answers!
