Gtm, an aside: If you post something, and then someone asks for more information, it's best just to post a new reply with the added info.

You didn't mention where you were from, and Trevor asked, and you posted a new reply saying you were from MA. That's perfect. :)

Changing the original post to include the missing info is actually more confusing, and is not necessary. Now 20 people think Trevor is getting senile, and his kids are inching closer towards taking his car keys. :D

I'm not picking on you, just offering a suggestion. Welcome to the forum, and I hope you get this worked out and keep us posted. :)

From what I know, shop time at school does count. I have heard that there is a limit to the number of hours you can obtain from school. I've also heard that you can't get credit for real work hours and shop hours at the same time. I don't know if any of that is true. Also realize that just because your friend was approved for something, the mistake may have been then, not now.

How many shop yours did you submit for? And how many hours do you have in the field. I think you need 3 years at least in the field, but I don't know where I get that from. One of our members CPal may be able to help you. Try sending him a pm. He does continuing ed., and if he doesn't have the answers, he should be able to direct you to someone who does.

Shop hours count one for one the related time also counts for the 600 hours if the program is accredited from the board.

you may get approx 2100 hours if it is a four year program but not all VoTech Schools in Mass. operate with a full day of shop (6-6.5 hours) and most are killing the related time. I think my program is one of the few left (or the only one) that can justify 600 class hours for graduates.

It sounds as if the op has down loaded the forms from the States web site but if he did not go to a Vocational high (trade) school the forms are not applicable I'm pretty sure if you go to a private school you need to send in a certificate from the private school.

The op did not state if it was a High School approved by the board or if it was a private school approved by the board.

pm me for specific info I can give you the phone number at the school we take calls.
