I need a favor. I have a guy in a meeting that is debating the use of the same grommet for installation of romex and class 2 Creston control wiring. This is an install where the low-volt contractor has used the same grommet through metal studs and strapped in my guys CJ6's. Can't find the 2" separation reference.

Thank you.

I see it. 725.136(I). I need to fax this to him, any other other quick codes I should add to the fax?

There is no seperation requirement from Art 725 Class 2, 3 or phone, coax and a chapter 3 wiring method.
If you accept there is no separation for Cat 5e and Rigid conduit, then you must accept same for romex and cat 5e.
However there is separation for conductors....but not cables.

Now before I get a you shouldn't do that, let me say the code is about safety and not performance. Standards from BISCI don't recommend running "low voltage" and romex in the same hole.
