Hey all,

New here but not to the trade. Thought I'd ask what should be a simple question, but bureaucrats being...well...bureaucrats, I'm sure the answers will vary.

If a poll could be added that'd be nice, but maybe the conversation is better, either way here goes;

Where are you in the code cycle?

Please answer state and code year.

Connecticut

NEC 2011 (we just adopted if Feb 2014...up from the 05)
IEC and IRC 2009

Texas is on the 2011 but will adopt 2014 in September.
That covers all unincorporated areas.

Each municipality is on whatever code they have adopted.
Where I live they just recently adopted 2008.
I work in municipalities that range from 2002 to 2011.

1980 is the latest actual paper code book I have

2008 on most recent job last year, WA state, all free on-line references on WA website, public domain when incorporated into law.

Mostly ignore the code unless need to get a permit;
but then, most work is on satellites and aircraft, NEC would make those so heavy they would not fly.....

Most municipalities have now stepped up to 2011, some still at 2008 - though I wouldn't doubt that some are up to 2014.
