raceway wiring methods

I designed a metal raceway measuring 3 1/4" x 8" x 48" long. I have cutouts in the raceway and am using panel mounted receptacles. 32 total 16 on each 3 1/4" face. Is this to many receptacles? I also want to know if this is acceptable.

It depends on a number of things, such as were are these to be installed? In the granite state you would need to have a third party inspection done on this that is a NRTL that is accepted by OSHA. But this is for this state.

Did you design and build the raceway? If so this not allowed since it is not listed for use by UL. Additionally you may want to check your wire-fill calculation.

Wiremold makes several products that are similar to what you described. I think it is the 4500 series. I would be more inclined to purchase this product. You can install several more receptacles that what you have in your home-made version.
