Are Cable Trays considered Raceways? There seem to be different codes for raceways and for cable trays.

I found the definition for raceways, but not cable trays.

Re: Raceways vs. Cable Trays

So, a raceway is a coduit of one form or another - EMT, ENT, etc?

A cable tray is like basket tray - I'm thinking of the trays holding LAN cables which look like skeletal rib cages.

A cable tray is continuous? So, raceway running through a room, suspended from the ceiling by bars (kind of like the shape of a U) every 12 feet or so would NOT be considered cable tray would it?

Sorry to be dense, I'm stressing over all the different terms before my test tomorrow. :)
