How far can you snake?

There are no restrictions in the length of raceways as long as you do not exceed 360 degrees of bend.

You won't find that in the code book. You can run a pipe for 20 miles if you can find conductors that long.

Wasn't there a 100' limit in the past, along with the 4 x 90 rule?

I was taught that in the field in the early 70's, but when I questioned it, no one could ever show me where it was in the code book.

With air compressors you can get a rope in a long conduit. With tuggers you can pull a long ways. The thing you need to do is to make sure you don't overstress your wire.

I have heard this too but no one has ever been able to show it to me in the NEC.

There's a whole chart called something like "the Georgia Tech Model" that has limits on the length on conduit that you can use for an EGC without installing an EGC. That's the only thing I've ever seen with my own two eyes that would limit conduit lengths, other than print specs.
