So we have a manhole with racks/arms on each side of a manhole. Our feeder replacement deals with racks/arms on only one side of the manhole.
There is a little rust on the other racks/arms and we suggested replacing them but the engineers comments is.

Several people suggested that a little rust, etc might best be left unmolested, as it creates a risk of failure occurring in additional cables. Can you expound on the actual recommendation

Does this make sense?

Reference NFPA 70B Chapter 19 as your supporting reason and mention if left uncorrected, it could cause physical damage. Leave it at that. If the engineer disagrees, tell him to offer his professional opinion as to why he sees it a greater risk to the installation to fix it. When something blows up you have your documentation and did your due diligence.

Thanks a lot. I'm not able to reference that section unless I buy it. Anyone have that except? Thanks
