for what it's worth, it does not look like those were tightened down all the way. At leaset I don't usually end up with that much exposed thread on those fittings. I don't know if that could in any way impact the gasket, seems unlikely though.

I agree, thats an awful lot threads still exposed. Seems like it could have used a few more turns.
 
I think the others were commenting on the compression side, lots of threads showing. I agree with you on the enclosure side, those rubber gaskets are worthless. Try to tighten them they just squish out.

All in all I have been pretty dissapointed with the emt fittings available as of lately. The lock nuts on some are crap, while the compression nuts will not tighten down very far at all before they become cocked.

Nothing like busting your behind all day in the hot sun and having do deal with junk parts to boot.
 
If they are below the live parts they are not required to be wet location fittings.

Are those 3R enclosures or are they better then raintight?
