By Sam: I think the dual rating would yield a lower demand and the specs reflect max at 240.
The demand would be lower at 208 than at 240 but how often do you find 208 in a dwelling?

I was thinking that they had to use the "third element" to get the fast preheat they are advertising? and that the "third element" is used in both the bake and broil convection modes so that is why I included it in my calculations. What I wasn't sure about is the warming Drawer Wattage of 450 watts as this could have been a 120 volt load as well.

All the apartments I have lived in where 208V. :D

Two points I didn't think of.

I couldn't think of what that third element was for.

And if the warmer was 120 it would be sensible to put it on the oppossite leg.

Would that make it possible to run it on a 35A. circuuit like Allen's sayings?

I'm still running it for 40 but it's an interesting question.
