Re-Feeding Service

Correct supposedly there is a load calculation I have not seen it. I know that it was a calculation of our power bills done over a year. The problem I have is that some of our machines here were not used during that time period.
Depends on your operation, sometimes you never run into situation of it being possible to run everything at same time.

What size transformer does POCO have. They might push it to some limits compared to what we will, but they generally are not going to supply you with something three times bigger than your highest peak demand, at least for anything over maybe 50 kVA.

No the 400a 480v disconnect will not remove power to building only certain machines within the building. The 120/240 v 400amp disconnects supply lights and receptacles etc

This doesn't make sense. Something has to disconnect the transformer from the 480V service conductors. You said there was only one 480V disconnect, so that has to be disconnecting the transformer.

Further info: if the load calculations were done correctly for all of the equipment you intend to operate, then you shouldn't have a problem.

If instead the load was determined using utility metering information (historic usage and demand records) but not all of the intended equipment was being used, then you might have a problem.

In the best case, they used metering information _plus_ calculations based on anticipated new use (turning machinery back on) and the result is what the proposed new service is capable of.
