Recept grd pigtail or self grd ?

Hi. Quick question.

On metal boxes self grounding receptacles are permitted and the receptacle wouldn't need a pigtail so that when it was removed from the box if would still be grounded ? Correct ?

Would 250.148B apply to removing the actually device would not interrupt grd continuity to the circuit but not the device or luminaire ? Correct ?

Correct assuming the box is grounded.

Correct. The removal of the above device will not affect the EGC continuity to downstream devices/lights.

So given the choice which would you use? I would go self-grounding every time.
