Hello,
I was recently on a job that had an external outside main disconnect switch. the feeder wires were run through PVC conduit into the internal panel inside the garage. On the outside of the garage, there was a GFCI receptacle that was actually coming out of the main disconnect box. I have never seen this before. I do realize that you can have feeder and branch circuit conductors in the same raceway as per definition 100 of a feeder and NEC 230.7, yet I have never seen an outside receptacle run in this way. for my own knowledge, is this code legal? please help.
