Receptacle locations for reach in coolers in a retail store.

As far as service people - most of those type of units have very little that can be serviced without pulling the appliance out to gain access to the back, sides, or even the bottom. IMO for most repairs, the thing likely will need to be emptied and pulled out whether you unplug it first or not.

Exactly. I just locate them at baseboard height to maybe 6" AFF. And that way if they decide to get rid of the cases there isn't a receptacle in the middle of the wall.

Exactly and each time they will be different dimensions so just put the outlet behind them and move on

Perhaps it would be better if they made the coolers gasoline powered and do away with the outlet.
