Hello All,
Had a rough wiring inspection a few days ago. This is a residential bedroom, all cable is NM. I'm running a branch circuit through the J-box in a Juno TC 47(4-inch low volt, new work housing). The spec. sheet (http://www.junolighting.com/pdf/spec/G3_3_0.pdf) says it is "U.L. listed for through-branch wiring."
The inspector informed me that on final inspection she will require me to show that the junctions are "accessible" (in the 314.29 sense, I believe).
So my customer has to pay for me to disassemble and reassemble the whole can to prove something that I imagine was already proven during the UL testing process.
Just curious whether you've encountered this before or if you think this is reasonable. Obviously, my thoughts on the matter are pretty transparent.
Thanks,
David
