IMHO it is very very unlikely that there isn't pretty good conductivity between the various individual strands of a stranded conductor.

That is my thinking too, but I suppose it it plausible that that could be an issue, particularly with aluminum conductors. But it would only end up being a voltage drop issue anyway, not an ampacity issue.

Another option:

That’s the cheapest and least space consuming way. Easier to wrap than a split bolt too.
