I split the copper between the company and the employees. It really doesn't take but a few minutes at the end of the day when we are cleaning up anyway. (I'm anal about a clean jobsite)

Two 55 gallon drums of old romex and scraps= $300
The large wire we strip (almost double the price per pound)

No one minds getting a $100 cash, tax free (tax has already been paid on the original material, so there's no income tax)

Only problem: you better take it with you every day, or it "disappears".
