Reel rollers vs jack stands

I am pulling 300 mcm armored cable 625 ft. Weight of cable on reels are about 2600 lbs. Does anybody have a opinion on reel rollers vs jack stands. If so, what brand do you suggest. Thanks

I like the rollersfor something that big we also use greenlee wire feeder

if the spool will fit on the roller.

spool rollers are like the spinner (for bundles) and the 3 legged ladder...
some things are just such a better way than the other options it makes you wonder why you don't see more of them used

The problem with the reel rollers is when you pull most of the wire off the spool, then the spool pulls off the rollers. I will take a jack stand every time over a roller unless you have very very large wire spools where the weight of the spool itself is 400-500 pounds.

I agree with Don. The last 40'-50' on wooden reels will kill you. :roll:
