I have a building with several exhaust fans that each turned on and off with their own relay. The motors are electronically commutated and 1/8 hp( 115 vac, RLA 1.9 amps according to the cut sheet). The cutsheet also states they are electronically protected. They relays we are using are rated for 1/3 hp @ 120 NO (10A resistive @ 277 vac).

I haven't come across this type of motor before, or maybe just haven't paid attention to it. I would assume I could put it on the smallest standard breaker (15 amps in my code book, I see the 2023 version drops that to 10 amps.) Thoughts? I don't see anything on the cut sheets about a max ocpd size and I'm not sure it's really the type of motor covered by the tables in 430.

Also, the relay doesn't list a contact rating at 120 vac. Can I put this on a 15 amp breaker as well? I've seen some relays that have fuses listed but not others, kinda confusing to me. Thanks.
