I have a customer who needs a service upgrade, the meter is on utility pole in alley and load center is inside home closet. I will be relocating meter to the back of the house. My question was which would be easier and cost efficient, do I install new load center in place of old one or move it next to meter on back of home. The distance from back of home to existing panel to about 30ft. Wasn’t sure if I could run feeders from meter can to load center in attic. It will be upgraded to a 200 amp service. If I could what type of wire do you recommend.
