I have a small run of knob and tube wiring that I am trying to remove during a bathroom remodel. The K&T leads from a light on the second floor to a switch on the first floor . There is romex from a separate circuit powering the light on the second floor. There is romex coming from the basement powering the switch on the first floor. It seems to me that whoever was here before me just tied the K&T into the new second floor fixture so that they didn't have to bother removing it. Am I okay in just removing the K&T running from the first floor to the second floor? Thanks in advance.
